Born and raised in Istanbul-Turkey, Yesim graduated from Robert College of Istanbul; 154-year-old institution that is the oldest American school outside United States and later from Bilkent University, one of the nations leading universities. She received her BA in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. She came to New York to study in Pratt University and she worked with architect Dimitri Balamotis in his Manhattan office for 6 years before she moved back to Istanbul where she founded her own design and furniture-production-company called ‘Antemiyon’ and ran it for years successfully. She is also the author of a book called ‘Antika Mobilya’ that is one of the best source books of the subject, antique furniture. She became a real estate agent believing that her accumulated knowledge of design and architecture would serve the best. She is currently living in Chelsea, New York with her husband and children. She is skilled in photography, videography and have vast computer skills. She speaks English and Turkish.
