Originally from Hokkaido, Japan, Riko is based in Manhattan, New York, where she works in real estate and relocation support. Having studied Real Estate at Baruch College, she has developed a deep understanding of New York’s urban structure, housing market, and property characteristics. Now in her seventh year living in New York, and having personally experienced five moves within the city, she brings both professional insight and lived understanding of each neighborhood’s character, residential environment, and appeal.
With over 20 years of experience in piano, Riko previously performed mainly in Japan and Europe. During her years in music college, she was recognized as a selected performer and earned a Special Piano Performance Certificate. In addition, she participated in the Budapest International Piano Masterclass at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary and performed a piano concerto with the Danube Symphony Orchestra at the Danube Palace. At the Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia, she received a Gold Prize at the national level and a Bronze Prize at the Asia competition. Through these experiences, she developed a deep appreciation for Chopin’s music, and she continues to enjoy attending performances at Carnegie Hall as one of her favorite pastimes. The refined aesthetic sense, expressiveness, and attention to detail she cultivated through music continue to shape her work today.
She has also remained actively involved in international exchange and community volunteer activities, valuing meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. Proficient in both Japanese and English, she provides thoughtful support for those beginning a new life or taking on new challenges in New York, drawing from both artistic sensibility and business perspective.
